Worms, 15 January 2026 – KOBIL has joined the German Digital Association Bitkom. With this step, KOBIL is strengthening its engagement in public debates on digital identities, cybersecurity, digital government and Europe’s technological sovereignty. The aim is to foster professional exchange between business, politics and public administration and to contribute practical, implementation-oriented impulses.
Who is Bitkom?
Bitkom represents more than 2,200 companies from the digital economy in Germany and sees itself as the voice of the industry vis-à-vis policymakers and society. Topics currently in focus include secure digital identities, trusted infrastructures, the cloud and platform economy, and the implementation of European digital regulation.
Why is KOBIL joining Bitkom?
As a provider of digital identity and security solutions, KOBIL contributes extensive experience from highly regulated sectors such as public administration, financial services and critical infrastructure. For four decades, the company has been developing technologies for secure authentication, encrypted communication and audit-proof digital processes and is involved in several large-scale digitalisation projects. These include the digitalisation of cities, for example in Worms and Istanbul, using the KOBIL SuperApp OneApp4All™.
Ismet Koyun, CEO and Founder of the KOBIL Group, says: “Digital transformation in Germany requires practical, secure and legally compliant solutions. For us, Bitkom is an important platform to bring technological innovation, regulatory requirements and societal expectations together.”
Compliant, secure, European: KOBIL contributes implementation expertise
KOBIL products are “made in Europe”. They meet all relevant security and data protection requirements in Germany and Europe, including the GDPR, PSD2, NIS-2, the Cyber Resilience Act and the EUDI Wallet framework. Joining Bitkom enables KOBIL to engage with regulatory requirements at an early stage, contribute hands-on implementation experience and work together with policymakers, public administration and industry to develop realistic, practicable standards for secure digital infrastructures.
